Notes
Notes are my shorter posts; kinda like my own little microblog. They have their own RSS feed and are automatically syndicated to my social profiles.
Since #MicroBlog doesn't support hashtags, I decided to roll my own. If all went well, the hashtags in this post should link back to my site. #Kirby really is great!
No idea if it worked on #Mastodon, or if they overwrite the links. Can someone confirm please?
I've decided to cancel my #Kagi subscription. It's a good service, but I think $10/month is a little steep for search, especially when DuckDuckGo is free, privacy respecting, and 95% as good in my testing.
I also cancelled my YT Premium subscription because that shits like crack.
This new Micro.blog feature is such a great idea. Goodness knows I've wanted to turn down the noise many times. I like how thoughtful @manton is with this stuff. It's refreshing.
I know I'm biased, but goddam he's handsome. π·

It's a beautiful morning in north Wales, so instead of taking the dogs on their usual lead walk, we're up in the fields.
I think this also qualifies for day two: curve

Does an Apple Music client exist for Ubuntu?
Going down a website rabbit hole is just the best. It starts with a blog post that links to another post, I check their site - they have lots of great content.
Oooh thereβs a blogrollβ¦
An hour later Iβve added 5 more sites to my RSS reader and I now have hundreds of new posts to read.

Around a year ago, I sold a project bike I'd just completed to my younger brother. It was a 22 year old Triumph Speed Four that I had fully restored (pic of the bike after the final "shake down" ride after finishing the project).
Last week, my brother took it to a Triumph specialist for its annual service and the mechanic commented on how it was one of the best condition Speed Fours he had ever seen. High praise indeed for my mechanical prowess. ποΈ

I just logged into my RSS reader and I see a number of unread posts from Jack Baty. That can only mean one thing...he switched platform again. π€£
Youngest: [pointing to a sign that says "Chiropodist"] daaaad, what does that say?
Me: That says "shi-rop-oh-dist".
Him: What's that?
Me: it's someone who looks after people's feet.
Him: Random...

Wife has some friends over.
Me: "I'm just going out to the garage. I'll be back in 10 mins."

I've been having some fun coding on this site recently (now I have more time). The latest addition is a Stats page. I've been wanting to do one for ages, and finally managed to get it done. Check it out...
The cat and I don't really spend any time together as I'm not a cat person. She can be quite cute though.

Out of office is on, my laptop is shut down, and my work phone is off.
See you in a week, work! π₯³
Spent the last couple days re-jigging my watch collection and watch wearing log so they use an SQLite DB instead of a text file. Been a fun little project.
I also added the last time I wore each watch in my collection.

Youβre pretty much entirely funded by Google. Go home, Mozilla. Youβre drunk.
I've been really struggling lately. I have very little motivation, and very few things are making me happy. I feel over-worked and under-appreciated, which is having a much bigger impact on me than I thought it would. I need to make some changes and pull myself out of this rut.

Cheers, son. π©

The single most frustrating thing about flipping from #iOS to #Android is that on iOS I can swipe from the either edge of the screen to go forward or back. On Android, for some stupid reason, swiping either way always goes back.
