More Journal App Updates
I've been getting more into journaling lately, and as a result, I've continued to improve my little Journal app.
My Journal started with humble beginnings, but as I've continued to improve it, it's become a great little tool that I now use multiple times a day.
There were a few features I wanted to addβlike a stats page, a search option, and proper authentication so I didn't have to rely on .htpasswd. Over the last few weeks, Iβve been chipping away at improvements, and I think itβs now pretty much feature complete. Here's what Iβve added:
- A stats page
- Search functionality
- Better code reusability
- Site-wide config options
- Config-based login protection
- Still runs on basic PHP and SQLite

This has been such a fun learning experience for me. Iβve hit a few snags along the way, but ChatGPT has helped me work through them. A lot of people bash AI, and I agree it shouldnβt be everywhere, but for use cases like this, itβs pretty damn great.
