Update on 500 Social
500 Social has been around for a few months now and things are going well. Here’s what’s been happening…
I announced 500 Social back in July and since then things have been going really well.
The instance now sports around 40 members and the local timeline has a steady stream of interesting posts, from interesting folks.
Those ~40 members have produced over 3,000 posts, and not a single report has been made against any of our members. I think that's testament to the friendliness of the community.
I had hoped that by pay-walling the instance it would attract only those who really want to be there, and I think it has, which is great. There have been a handful of people join the instance, then ultimately decide it's not for them, which is also fine. Those account remain frozen in time in case any of those people want to come back in the future.
